THE JOURNEY
I’m setting out on a long journey. To warm countries.
Here the drops still run down the spines of the roofs.
Winds howl in the crevices. The madness is rising.
I am sunk in fog. Like most of the world.
In fog where demons hatch at night.
Your voice, your scent, your touch are still too near
for me to stay. Like a beggarwoman I piece prayers together,
I call on time to save me, knowing it will destroy me.
Patiently, like morphine.
expecting
more and more light
in your eyes
ting… ting
autumn wind swinging
the Japanese chimes
calisthenics
a dandelion
flexes its little leaves
